After living in the home for decades, the owners chose to renovate and expand their 1950s modern-style home. The first floor was expanded and doubled the size of the house. The interior was reconfigured to allow new gathering spaces in the kitchen, den, and playroom to accommodate the couple’s children and grandchildren as well as a larger master suite. Blends of warm taupe and gray hues form the schemes’ foundation and create a unity throughout the home. The result is a union of informal elegance and functionality that supports the owners’ love of family, art, and nature.
