Cramer-Krasselt is the second-largest independent integrated marketing and communications agency in the United States. For their headquarters in Chicago, Gary Lee Partners created a space vibrating with energy, yet balanced with moments of serenity. Leading patrons through the space, an energetic custom broadloom runner runs down the corridor creating a runway, while zen gardens provide a sense of calm.
Continuing this dichotomous concept, open workstations run along the perimeter of the windows, while private offices are located along the interior core with glass fronts, balancing privacy with transparency. An exposed, white painted ceiling creates interest while a dropped ceiling and carpet tile serve an acoustical function at workstations.
Writable, tackable surfaces are used throughout the office to encourage the free flow of ideas, while corners of the floor plan are open to serve as collaborative meeting spaces. A large, open Town Hall/Pantry space reflects the flexible, forward-thinking culture of the company and is reconfigurable for eating, touchdown space, as well as large gatherings or meetings.
