Suburban Manor
Chicago Area, IL USA

This 14,000 SF home was designed from the inside out for an empty nester couple in collaboration with their architect. The client’s existing 40-year-old 3,000 SF home was demolished to become the site for the new house. Supported by the thoughtful solutions of the landscape architect, careful planning created a front entry that is unassuming, to intermingle well with the neighborhood.

The interior design was to be classic but traditional. The scope ranged from site plan to interior layout, interior architectural finishes, furnishings, window treatments, bedding, and accessories. Classic materials were used in a modern way while maintaining a traditional sense to the home. Portals and trim were introduced at each doorway in the open plan to define boundaries, allowing for a more traditional procession through the home.

The high end architectural finishes and details were implemented throughout every square foot of this large home evoking admiration by even the most sophisticated eye.
