When The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) decided to relocate their Chicago office, they turned to Gary Lee Partners. The two firms have a long and successful history of collaboration in planning, design and ongoing facility consulting services for BCG spaces.
The Boston Consulting Group wanted to retain the sophistication of their existing GLP-designed space, but they also wanted to take advantage of the planning opportunities provided by their new location. To maximize their space, Gary Lee Partners worked with the landlord and architect to make significant modifications to the building, including a stair connecting all five BCG floors.
To facilitate the truly collaborative nature of BCG, Gary Lee Partners designed floor-to-ceiling glass partitions. The glass provides a sense of transparency and also introduces considerable amounts of natural light into the crisp, taut spaces. The clean lines of the interior architecture and furnishings are softened by the use of rich woods, luxurious textiles and polished stones.
